We've been well overdue for a fresh loaf of sourdough bread! On top of making a delicious sourdough pie crust for the apple pie we made, I also made our yummy sourdough sammich bread. 🍞

Over the weekend we visited another local organic farm and picked some fresh apples from their orchards. They had their 'you pick' event.
So far, we've made an apple pie with sourdough crust and started an apple cider vinegar jar with all of the scraps from the pie! 🥧

As if I didn't have enough critters to care for 😂🙃 we're now raising some Monarch butterfly caterpillars. I had found several caterpillars before watching the butterfly land and lay the egg that would become Goliath. Sadly, the caterpillars I left behind were captured by Bald Faced Hornets. Which is why I decided to take in Goliath and ordered a larger habitat immediately. I have been supplying fresh milkweed everyday and hope, even if it's just one or two, that we can release them once they become butterflies.
