Today is a very hard day here at Bird Knuckle Ranch. We have to say goodbye to one of our Bird knuckle dogs, Peanut.
She has had cancerous tumors for a couple of years now, and they have gotten bigger and multiplied. You can only have so many of them removed before you decide it's just too much to keep putting them through it. Plus, we don't know what's going on on the inside, we can only see the ones on the outside.
She's done good up until the last few months, watching her struggle to get around, having uncontrollable accidents in the house, not putting weight on one of her legs with a tumor, falling down when trying to go down the small step into the back room.
It's time for one of the hardest decisions to have to make for a beloved pet. A final act of love and compassion to end the suffering. I keep asking myself if it's the right decision; if it's too early. She still has some quality of life. However, it's better to be a week too early, than a minute too late.
Fly high Weezy Peezy, we will miss you. Wait for us at the rainbow bridge, where we will meet again one day. 💔🐾🌈
