Sugar-free Peanut Butter Cookies
I'm not surprised that God led me to the fresh-milled flour journey because it is my heart to offer a healthier way of eating that offers good for us nutritious benefits.
I want Jessica to have sugar-free options that have nutrients that won't spike sugar levels. So I will offer sugar-free treats that will be coming soon.
This scripture has continually ministered to me since I started milling.
And God said, “See I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth and every tree whose fruit yields seed, to you it shall be be for meat.
Genesis 1:29
Benefits for Diabetics
Freshly milled flour provides significant benefits for diabetics, primarily by offering a lower glycemic index (GI) and higher fiber content, which helps prevent sharp spikes in blood sugar. Unlike refined flour, freshly milled options retain the bran and germ, ensuring higher levels of fiber, essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that promote stable blood sugar management.
Key Benefits of Fresh Milled Flour for Diabetics
Lower Glycemic Index: Freshly milled flour generally has a lower GI, resulting in a slower, more gradual rise in blood sugar levels.
High Fiber Content: The fiber content in fresh flour aids in slowing glucose absorption, promoting better, more stable blood sugar control.
Nutrient-Dense Composition: It retains vital nutrients, including B vitamins, antioxidants, magnesium, and phosphorus, which are often stripped from processed, white flours.
Improved Insulin Sensitivity: Consuming less-processed whole grains is linked to improved glycemic control, lowered triglycerides, and reduced insulin resistance.
Reduced Inflammation: Because fresh flour lacks artificial additives and preserves the natural oils of the grain, it is less likely to trigger the inflammation associated with refined products.
