I was looking back through old magazines today and came across this article that was published on the importation of Alasdair Ruadh of Cladich from Scotland to the USA. Did I mention he is one of my favorite all time bulls?

Calving season is just a few weeks away, and this year we’re celebrating something truly special.

Back in 2005, one of our all‑time favorite bulls, Autumn Mist Samuel (AI), was born. Samuel was the perfect blend of two of our most treasured animals — Alasdair Ruadh of Cladich × Sunset Little Lady Gadiva — a pairing we’ve always held close to our hearts.

In 2008, we flushed Gadiva to Alasdair Ruadh and froze the embryos, hoping that one day the timing would be right. Alasdair Ruadh's semen was frozen in on June 2, 1981(45 years ago!).

Fast forward nearly 18 years.

On July 16, 2025, we implanted one of those embryos… and it took.
Now, as we head into the 2026 calving season, we’re expecting a calf that carries the exact genetics of a moment we preserved almost two decades ago.

It feels like bringing a piece of our farm’s history back to life — and we couldn’t be more excited.
