Join us for our in-person on-farm Annual Crops & Soils Field Day at Borderview Research Farm on Thursday, July 25, 2024, 10am to 3:30pm. You will tour the research trials including perennial grasses, soybeans, small grains, h**p, hops, and other crops, as well as participate in one of the afternoon sessions. The afternoon sessions include Precision Ag (virtual fencing, drone seeding, and variable rate fertility), a Grains Tour, Forages, Sensory Session with a sensory circuit (beans, maple syrup, cheese, and beer), or a H**p processing demo.
A BBQ lunch by Susan LeClair LLC catering is included, along with Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Certified crop adviser and water quality education credits will be available.
Online registration is at https://go.uvm.edu/2024annualfieldday and will close by Noon 7/23. If you cannot access the online registration, please call the UVM Non Credit Registration office at 802-656-8407 to register.
Cost is $25 per person for non-farmers and free to farmers.
This event is rain or shine. PLEASE NOTE that the Swanton Village Route 78 bridge is Closed. You will likely need to take Route 7 south (towards St. Albans) to Beebe Road onto River Road, which will bring you back to Route 78 towards Alburgh.
