Manos Juntas is a micromill located in Sotará, Colombia south of Popayán. We currently are featuring their anaerobic cherry-dried Castillo with notes of red plum, orange blossom, and dulce de leche.

Stop by the next two weekends to check out a local pop-up at Silverbird Coffee! A Kingfield Bookshop will be set up in the cafe selling new and used books to promote their upcoming location on Nicollet. Last week Tony was traveling in Colombia. While the trip was disrupted and cut short by the tragic earthquake, it was still a productive and restorative trip. Meeting coffee producers, being back on their farms, working alongside members of the supply chain, and sharing our experiences with other roasters always renews our energy.

While there he had some amazing experiences, learned about developing techniques, and found a few beautiful coffees to bring into our lineup.

Colombia - This week Tony has been traveling in Colombia on a green buying and education trip. The group was supposed to fly into Pereira on Monday evening, but plans change. The group is safe, but the damage to the region is devastating.

We will post more about the trip in following days, but now is not the time.

This Sunday from 12-4 our friends up the street Bûcheron Restaurant are having their annual Bastille Day Block Party and they’ve invited us to join the party!

The party’s filling the whole back lot from 43rd up through our back door and we’ll be out there with our Flash Chilled Iced Coffee, The Döppelgänger, and a special Orange Cognac Iced Coffee from their wonderful bar program.
