A WEEKEND MESSAGE FROM THE CHURCH OF ST. AGONY🍻
Greetings, congregation, sinners, saints, and those who only show up when they hear the words “new beer.”
The doors of St. Agony Brewing Company shall be open this weekend according to the following sacred schedule:
🙏 Friday: 4:00–9:00 PM —
Regular worship services will commence. Come confess your week over a properly poured pint.
🎂 Saturday: 5:00–9:00 PM —
We have a special private B-Day celebration from 4:00–5:00, so the congregation will be allowed back into the sanctuary at 5:00 PM. We apologize for the brief interruption in your regularly scheduled salvation.
🍺 Sunday: 4:00–6:00 PM** —
A short but holy opportunity to finish the weekend and prepare your soul for Monday.
🌿 THE HOPS HAVE BEEN PICKED! 🌿
Thanks to the mighty efforts of the St. Agony congregation and a few brave guests who apparently didn't realize they were signing up for manual labor in exchange for beer, the hops are officially harvested!
May your hands recover quickly, your backs forgive you, and your free beers have been worth the suffering. After all... no pain, no free pint.
🏺 MUG CLUB UPDATE: The Mug Club mugs are now safely resting in the cupboard, patiently waiting to be called into service and filled with their first holy offering. Their time is coming.
🌶️ COMING SOON: The Reckoning Hatch Chile Fire Roasted Ale is nearing the point of consumption! Prepare your taste buds for a little fire, a little flavor, and possibly a brief conversation with your maker.
🍺 And for those seeking something a little more heavenly, the new Belgium Ale (we need a name) is also almost ready to pour!
So gather your fellow sinners, saints, and drinking disciples and come see us this weekend.
The hops are picked. The mugs are waiting. The beer is almost ready.
The congregation is gathering.
And forgiveness may be optional...
…but another beer is highly encouraged. 🍻🙏

🍺🙏 **A CALL TO WORSHIP... AND TO PICK HOPS!** 🙏🍺
The good word has been spoken, and **St. Agony Brewing Company is OPEN today, Saturday from 4–9 PM, and Sunday from 4–6 PM!**
But today, brethren, sisters, saints, sinners, and those somewhere in between... it is time for our **SACRED HOP PICKING PARTY!** 🌿🍻
Come lend your hands to the harvest and **pick a bundle of hops**, and lo, you shall be rewarded with a **FREE BEER!** That's right—salvation may be complicated, but this deal is pretty straightforward. 😂
And because no good gathering of the congregation should be held on an empty stomach, we will also be serving up **PULLED PORK SAMMIES ON THE HOUSE... until the good stuff runneth out!** 🐖🥪
So come enjoy the weather, the conversation, the beauty of the season, and perhaps perform a little agricultural penance in exchange for a cold pint.
**In Hops We Trust.** 🍺🌿
See you at the sanctuary!
**Saturday: 4–9 PM**
🌿 Hop Picking Party
🍺 Pick a bundle = Free Beer
🥪 Pulled Pork Sammies = On the House Until Gone!
**Sunday: 4–6 PM**
Come thirsty. Come hungry. Come ready to harvest. Amen. 🙏🍻

🍺🙏 **AND LO, THE BREWING COMMUNITY DID MULTIPLY!**
Saint Agony Brewing Company would like to raise a pint and offer a hearty, hop-filled welcome to **Parker and the fine folks at Uniform 12 Brewing** as they join the ever-growing congregation of independent craft brewers in Idaho—and right here in our little corner of St. Anthony!
Yes, friends, the prophecy has been fulfilled: **St. Anthony shall now have TWO breweries!** 🍻🍻
Some may ask, “Can a town have too much good beer?” To which we humbly reply, **THOU SHALT NOT SPEAK SUCH BLASPHEMY.**
We are genuinely excited to welcome another independent brewery to the community. Craft beer is better when brewers support brewers, communities support local businesses, and everyone has more great beer to choose from. There is plenty of room at the altar... and apparently plenty of room for another taproom! 🍺
And as if the brewing gods weren't generous enough, Uniform 12 Brewing will be sharing the heavenly neighborhood with the fine folks at Crop Dusters Grill! https://cropdustersgrill.com/ 🍔✈️

That means great food, and—soon—another collection of craft beers to enjoy. Honestly, we're not sure St. Anthony is ready for this much deliciousness in one place.
And we aren't just preaching the gospel without doing our research—we've already had the pleasure of tasting their beer, and let us testify: **it's top shelf!** 🍻 We can say with great confidence that Parker and Uniform 12 Brewing https://www.uniform12brewing.com/know know what they're doing, and St. Anthony is in for a real treat.
So please join us in welcoming **Parker and Uniform 12 Brewing with Crop Dusters Grill** to the Idaho independent craft brewing family and the St. Anthony community!
Because while we may compete for your taste buds, we are all preaching from the same gospel:
**Support local. Drink independent. Love your community. And never pass up the opportunity to enjoy a good beer.**
Welcome to the congregation, Uniform 12! 🍻🙏

**The congregation is gathering this weekend with both heavy hearts and raised glasses. 🍺🙏✨**

We at St. Agony Brewing Company are saddened by the passing of the one and only **Dolly Parton**. The world lost far more than a legendary singer, songwriter, entertainer, and queen of rhinestones. Dolly spent much of her life helping others—from putting books into the hands of children through her Imagination Library, to supporting education, disaster relief, and medical research. She used her success to make the world a little brighter and a whole lot kinder.
Enjoy St. Anthony Summerfest on Thursday, then come join the congregation at St. Agony Brewing Company during our regular holy hours:

🍺 **Friday: 4–9 PM**
🍺 **Saturday: 4–9 PM**
🍺 **Sunday: 4–6 PM**

Come by Friday and tip a pint in honor of Saint Dolly. Raise a glass to a life filled with music, laughter, generosity, big dreams, bigger hair, and enough rhinestones to light up the Pearly Gates.

And don't forget... **Saturday is the Hop Picking Party!** 🌿🍺

Come pick a **bundle of hops** and receive a **FREE BEER for every bundle picked!** That's right—the congregation is being rewarded for honest labor in the hop yard. 🙏🌿🍻

So enjoy Summerfest Thursday, come raise a pint to Dolly on Friday, and then come back Saturday to harvest the sacred hops and earn your beer the old-fashioned way.

**In Dolly We Trust... and in Hops We Also Trust.** ❤️🎶🍺

Cheers, Dolly. The world is a little less sparkly without you.

🌿 **IN THE BEGINNING… THERE WERE HOPS.** 🍺🙏

Well… maybe not exactly in the beginning. The Good Book doesn’t actually mention hops, but we’re pretty sure the omission was an oversight. Hops have been used in brewing for more than 1,000 years, with medieval European brewers discovering that hops helped preserve beer while adding the bitterness and aromas we know and love today. By the Middle Ages, hops had become an important part of brewing—and the congregation has been worshipping those little green cones ever since. 🌿

🌿 A LITTLE HOP THEOLOGY
Those beautiful green cones are actually the flowers of the female hop plant. Inside them are tiny yellow glands called lupulin, which contain the resins and essential oils responsible for much of beer’s bitterness, flavor, and aroma.
In other words… without hops, beer would be missing a little divine intervention.
And speaking of divine intervention…

🍺 ST. AGONY BREWING COMPANY IS OPEN THIS WEEKEND!🍺

**Friday:** 4–9 PM
**Saturday:** 4–9 PM
**Sunday:** 4–6 PM

🌿 SATURDAY IS HOP PICKING DAY! 🌿
Come help us harvest the sacred green bounty! Pick a bundle of hops and receive a FREE BEER for every bundle you pick.
Come enjoy the scenery.
Come enjoy the conversation.
Come enjoy the fellowship.
Most importantly… come enjoy the beer. 🍺
In Hops We Trust.
Amen & Ale.🌿

🍺🙏 **A MUGNIFICENT EVENING AT ST. AGONY!** 🙏🍺

A heartfelt **THANK YOU** to everyone who answered the call, paid the price, and came forth to personalize their very own **Mug Club mug!** 🍺🎨

There was pottery. There was paint. There was beer. There were a few **minor miracles—and perhaps a couple of minor glitches**—but mostly there was laughter, creativity, and a fantastic group of folks who made it one heck of a fun evening.

We can't wait to see the finished vessels! May they be strong, beautiful, slightly quirky, and always filled with something worthy of the congregation. 🍻

And a **special blessing upon the good folks at the Idaho Art Lab** for donating their time, talent, patience, and expertise to our little evening of ceramic salvation. 😇

Because let's be honest—**St. Anthony having a place like the Idaho Art Lab is a bit of a miracle in itself.** A place where creativity is encouraged, art is made, and apparently perfectly innocent people are taught how to play with clay while drinking beer. What more could a small town ask for?

We were honored to help raise money for the Art Lab, and we hope you'll all support them. **Their work makes our community better, more creative, and considerably more interesting.** And that's something worth putting in the offering plate. 🙏💰🎨

Now, unfortunately, we must confess another sin…

**St. Agony will be CLOSED this coming weekend.**

We are off to a **higher place**… 🙏
Hopefully **not TOO high.** 😇🍺

But fear not, sinners—we shall return!

**AUGUST 28 • 4–9 PM

Then:

🍻 **August 29 • HOP PICKING PARTY!** 🌿 4-9
Pick a small bundle of hops and receive **A FREE BEER** for your labor in the vineyard of hops. 🍺🌿 There might even be some grub.

🍻 **August 30 • 4–6 PM**

And brewing in the fermentation chamber…

🎃🍺 **OUR OKTOBERFEST BEER!** 🍺🎃

She's fermenting nicely and currently has **no name**, but we're confident divine inspiration—or an inappropriate amount of beer tasting—will provide one soon.

Until then, **go forth, support your local artists, drink responsibly, and keep your drinking vessels holy.**

**In Hops We Trust.**

⛪🍺 **REPENT! THE SAINT IS BACK!** 🍺⛪

The doors of **Saint Agony Brewing Company** are once again open, and the congregation is ready to resume its regularly scheduled *acts of beer consumption.

Friday14th & Saturday 15th: 4–9 PM
Sunday: 4–6 PM

And this Saturday the 15th, we shall gather for the sacred tradition of POTTERY ON THE PORCH from 6–9 PM!

If you purchased one of those glorious new **18 oz drinking vessels**, this is your chance to personalize your mug and make it uniquely yours. Because drinking beer from a plain glass is apparently a spiritual shortcoming we can now correct.

✨ **MISSED THE MUG SIGN-UP?**
There *may* be a **few highly coveted mugs left** for those who have not yet secured their place in the Mug Club. These are expected to disappear faster than a free beer at Sunday School.

👉 Contact the **Idaho Art Lab** to see if any remain:
www.idahoartlab.org

So come unto Saint Agony.
Bring your thirst.
Bring your creativity.
Bring your wallet—because the Lord helps those who support local breweries. 😂

**Saturday night: We paint mugs. We drink beer. We question our life choices.**

🍺 **In Hops We Trust.**
🙏 **Amen & bottoms up!**

This weekend St. Agony packed up the holy water (beer), loaded the relics (kegs), and journeyed back to the promised land of the Magic Valley Beer Fest.

A huge THANK YOU to the Blue Lakes Rotary and the army of volunteers who somehow perform the annual miracle of gathering breweries, food, music, and thousands of happy beer pilgrims into one fantastic event. Year after year they raise money for incredible causes throughout the Magic Valley, and we're grateful to be a small part of it.

For Byron and me, it felt like coming home. After spending so many years in the Magic Valley, it was wonderful to see familiar faces, reconnect with old friends, tell stories that somehow get better every year, and solve at least a few of the world's problems. We even met plenty of new members ready to join the FLDS—our **Fun Loving Drinking Society**.

As always, we learned a sacred truth: strangers are just friends who haven't been handed a beer yet.
Our hearts, however, are heavy today. While we were enjoying fellowship and laughter at the festival, a tragic mass shooting occurred just a short distance away at the Twin Falls In-N-Out. Three people lost their lives, and seven others were injured in a senseless act of violence. Our prayers are with the victims, their families, the survivors, first responders, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

It is a sobering reminder that life is precious. Yesterday showed both the very best of humanity—a community gathering to celebrate, volunteer, and give back—and the very worst. May we choose kindness more often, look out for one another, and never take these moments of fellowship for granted.

Thank you again to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared a laugh and raised a glass.
Peace be with you... and may we all continue choosing community over division, kindness over hate, and hope over fear.
Until next time...

**Go forth in hops, love thy neighbor, and keep thy pint half full.** 🍻
