Sometimes playing with the chickens food is more fun than feeding the actual chickens. 🙄 Especially when your barn cats are keeping you company. Clearly he could do without the wind.

Welcomes the strangest birds to the farm this week.

I have always wanted guinea fowl but never got around to getting any.

These guys just fell into our laps this week. Along with 30 additional chickens.

Honestly, I like them for about a week lol. Chicks aren’t my favorite.

The apples will be starting to fall from our old apples trees soon.

This year the deer will get the opportunity to have them all since we don’t have any pigs around.

We have been getting a lot of rain this summer.

The last cutting of hay was bailed yesterday and I for sure thought the rain was going to interfere with those plans.

Can’t wait to get our next batch of piglets. We have been enjoying our pig free time while I was pregnant and while we adjusted as a family of four. But we miss them and can’t wait to have them back on the farm.
