What is Shaved Ice? Shaved Ice consist of a smooth, fluffy, and having a fine texture similar to snow. This fine texture of ice is then flavored consistantly throughout with one of your favortie flavors. Some may wish to top off their favorite Sno-Ball with one of many toppings such as: Marshmallow Creame, Condensed Milk or Chocolate Syrup. Shaved Ice has several different names depending on where you live or grew up. Some of the most of the common names for shaved ice are: Snoball, Snow Ball, Shaved Ice, A Shaver, or Hawaiian Shaved Ice. This is completely different from Snow Cones and Italian ice. Snow Cones are made of a hard crunchy ice, and when flavor is added, all goes to the bottom. Italian Ice is made of either a concentrate syrup flavoring or fruit purees. This is made in the same process by which ice cream is made.
