New Summer classes for the young people by the new owners of the 5-acre property! Check them out and support the mission to continue to inspire kids to learn to love Nature!
We've are so excited to announce that School for the SOL, a local nature school, will join us on the farm this summer for 6-weeks of summer camp programming (June 16 - July 30) where kids, ages 4-14, will learn and create an ecosystem for sustainability. Every Tues, Wed & Thursday from 10am to 2pm, the amazing Leah and Carol will lead the camp to design systems, build structures and create solutions that support balance and sustain life on a homestead. Each week, children collaborate and contribute building a regenerative EcoVillage, layer by layer.
Learning the fundamentals of permaculture, they will:
- Build a soil fertility system
- Create a thriving garden & plant guild
- Design a water collection & conservation plan
- Build a habitat for beneficial bugs & wildlife
- Learn how to use natural resources to survive & thrive together
- Host a community market to share all they have made, built & learned
We have many sponsorship opportunities for local businesses, from dollar donations to providing supplies. If you are a business who can donate rain capture barrels, soil, compost bins or dollars to purchase these items for the program, let's chat. All sponsors will be recognized and able to join us for our community market.
Share this opportunity with anyone who has children in the community. We would love to see you on the farm. You can sign up for the whole program or just specific weeks. School for the SOL even takes Step Up dollars, so let all your homeschool friends know too. To learn more, see the website in the comments or visit on Instagram.
