Striking young Elfrid is claimed! She will be bred to Caprette Cashmere's Rafaele before heading off to her new farm – and to one of our favorite fiber friends!

Don't forget to look at our website for other available goats. We have rarely sold females in the past but we have some available!

We have several cashmere goats available right now. This year's kids were sired by Caprette Cashmere's Rafaele, who placed 3rd in the 2025 CGA/NWCA fleece competition.

Our goats are raised on silvopasture with low management, and they're trained to portable electric netting and Nofence virtual fencing (a GPS collar system that keeps them in bounds without a physical fence).

Every goat comes with full herd health records and an 840 USDA scrapie-approved microchip.

We're located in Wisconsin, about an hour or more from Minneapolis. Comment or message us for pricing, ages, and availability on any of the goats pictured.

TEN YEARS 🎉 Ten years married, ten years running a farm, and ten years growing our cashmere goat herd. You know what? I honestly thought the herd would be bigger, the bags of cashmere would be more plentiful, and the instagram more beautiful by this point. But there’s always the next ten years, right?!

Facebook: Hey, do you want this life-sized cashmere goat toy?
Me: yes, yes I do.

I was lucky to purchase this second hand and I’m so excited to bring it everywhere!

Ronald the Ram wants to know if you got it right? The newest breed to our farm is Teeswater sheep. Many thanks to orchardacrestextiles for setting us up with a complete flock. Very excited to watch these locks grow!

Sheep happens! 🐑

Oh sheep. Holy sheep.

Why does baaaaaad sheep happen to good people?

For those who know us, we've never been ones to follow the flock. But can ewe guess which breed led us to the woolly side? 😉

Surely not the same goat?! We welcomed Torbjorn, a buck bred by us, back to our farm this fall. We were surprised when we looked up his baby pictures and he had changed colors to the deep Irish Setter red we so enjoy. Did not see that coming! Torbjorn will be our breeding buck this year and so all 2025 offspring will be sired by him! Hint: the lighter color is not residual from his baby days but his cashmere fiber color.

When you’re only a few days old but you have your morning routine 💕 I know everyone at Shepherd’s Harvest has their routine! Make stopping at Orchard Acres Textiles and checking out the cashmere one of yours! Have a great day and we’ll see you in the barn next year!

Attention Shepherd’s Harvest folks! You won’t find us in the barn this year. Head (no, run) to building C and visit the fabulous . There you will find, after many years of begging us, 100% locally grown cashmere ROVING! We also have our fi*****ng weight in Apricot, which sold out at noon on Saturday last year!
