Olivia’s sassy broken blue tort Fat Amy had her first litter last September and we thought it was a fluke that she threw her toy ball in while making the nest.
Nope…turns out gift giving is her love language in the form of her TP roll this time ☺️

We wanted to attend the show in Alabama this weekend but Cici has been hard at work this year hauling rabbits and feed and us! So she is taking a travel break and has a date for several weekends this month with dad and Olivia.
This is a new side to rabbitry-ing for Olivia but an important one. Things don’t maintain themselves and feed and travel cause wear and tear. Luckily dad is pretty handy but it’s still a whole lot of time, energy and human-power in the Louisiana heat to keep things running.
And for those of you who believe we may need to invest in something newer or bigger…..Cici is the star of this show 🤩⭐️
She isn’t going anywhere as long as I have a say 😉

Happy Belated birthday to Happy Hills Jellyroll!! He turned 2 yesterday 🎉🎉
Olivia is much better about birthday celebrations for buns than I am so I have missed a few 😖
But the talker of the barn was remembered!

Y’all. I did not take one picture. Not one. We attended the LRBA Memorial Day show this weekend. It was an event!!

It has been while since a show and Olivia couldn’t wait to see her favorite rabbit people. Ms. Rachel and Ms. Rhonda are always at the top of her list and keep her learning and laughing the whole show! She is always super excited to spend whatever time she can with them 🥰 Ms Kelly is always the spreader of kindness we love to see 🩷
We got to spend time with the lovely Louisiana rabbit crew and we got to see some Texas folks this weekend too! Olivia loves Hunny Buns Rabbitry and got to see Chloe and Ms Amy, Olivia (and me) really love them and they are always so great to be around 🤍. We got to spend time with some new folks too who we will hopefully get to know better 😁 The holland crew is the greatest bunch of people. 🥰

Olivia got to learn SO many new things! The lovely and wonderful April Cade showed her how to tattoo with dots and Olivia got to watch her judge the 4H show and learn about new rabbits. Olivia got to write for Rusty Westoff and learned a whole lot! She worked with Ms Rachel and Katlin on pairings. Ms. Julie showed her how to pick up rabbits in a new way that she has been struggling with and she was over the moon!

Her rabbits loved to hang out as well 🤣 Her herd is in an interesting place this year. Maybe making room for all the learning 🤷‍♀️. Hunny Buns Rex was 5 in a big class of SSBs, y’all know he’s my favorite….
As always thanks to my favorite rabbit support peeps from Mad Hatter Farms for being who they are 🥰 . Absolutely could not do this without you, we have a new plan to travel farther and I’m here for it!! (Today I am anyway). Until next time…

Rabbitry life is hard. There is no way around that in our experience. It is truly a labor of blood, sweat and tears (and love, compassion and understanding).
It’s show season and molting season (when is it not 🤪) and this was the last weekend to clean for awhile. Top to bottom an easy two day project. We have been trying to work smarter not harder because the more you have the longer the days.
Olivia will tell you it’s one of the worst parts and don’t be mistaken it takes some mama nagging on these days to help her keep on keeping on. But at the end of the day, she knows it’s important. Enjoy some of the highlights….
