Our winery was established by Koerner and Joan Rombauer, whose appreciation for The Joy of Wine and the pleasure it brings to family and friends stems from Koerner’s great aunt, Irma Rombauer, author of the internationally-renowned Joy of Cooking. Our family continually seeks out the finest vineyard sites for each varietal we farm, and the quality and character of our wines reflect an embrace of traditional and cutting-edge practices both in the winery and in our sustainably farmed vineyards. As our family’s second and third generations continue to carry out the vision of Koerner and Joan, we’re proud to produce critically acclaimed Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc. Helena winery, set high on a tree-covered knoll just off Silverado Trail, features a lovely porch with stunning views of the Mayacamas Mountains, a garden with over 100 varieties of plants, whimsical works of art collected by Koerner Rombauer and wine caves.
