Pinot Noir is one of the world’s most expressive grapes, shaped by the terroir and hands behind the wine. This National Pinot Noir Day, we’re celebrating the producers in the Demeine Estates portfolio who showcase its incredible range:

Haynes Vineyard Forgeron Pinot Noir - A true expression of Coombsville, with floral aromatics, savory spice, vibrant acidity, and beautifully balanced fruit that reflects the character of its historic vineyard site.

Champagne Philipponnat Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut - This is Philipponnat’s signature cuvée, a tribute to Pinot Noir that reflects the House’s long experience with this expressive grape variety. It is potent without ever losing its freshness or finesse.

Domaine Roc de l'Abbaye Sancerre Rouge - Pinot Noir meets the distinctive silex soils of Sancerre, resulting in delicate berry aromas, bright acidity, and subtle flinty minerality.

Racines Winery Pinot Noir - From the cool climate of Sta. Rita Hills, this Pinot Noir emphasizes freshness, subtlety, and elegance.

Domaine de Montille Pinot Noir - A Burgundy benchmark with a terroir-driven style focused on finesse, traditional vinification, and restrained oak.

Matt Taylor Wines Cuvée Kaela Pinot Noir - From West Sonoma Coast, this Pinot Noir captures the character of its cool coastal site with notes of hibiscus, coastal berries, tea, spice, and lingering minerality.

Introducing the Château Lascombes 2023 vintage.

A new chapter begins at Château Lascombes, guided by precision, elegance, and a deep respect for the estate’s historic Margaux terroir. Axel Heinz reflects on his first full vintage at Château Lascombes:

“The charm and vibrant fruit of the Cabernet Franc quickly won me over. The Merlot required careful sorting. After vinification, it was crisp and very elegant. Gentle extraction allowed the Petit Verdot to express its fruity yet tannic character. As for the Cabernet Sauvignon, its complexity, elegance and distinguished tannins are a tribute to Lascombes’ historic terroir. They guided us, almost as if it were obvious, to the Château Lascombes 2023 blend, characterized by straightforwardness, classicism and silkiness. Isn’t that the definition of the Margaux style I’ve come to rediscover?”

A milestone moment for Poderi Boscarelli and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

Recent coverage from Vinous highlights the continued evolution of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, recognizing the region’s remarkable progress and noting that it has become “the most improved region in Tuscany over the last decade.”

The 2021 vintage showcases this new chapter, with wines that reflect the clarity, precision, and sense of place that have become hallmarks of the region’s renewed focus on Sangiovese and traditional Tuscan varieties.

Among the standout wines is the 2021 Costa Grande single vineyard, recently released in our Spring Icon Offering, which will be classified under the Pieve Cervognano designation and represents the exceptional character of Boscarelli’s vineyards.

As Vino Nobile di Montepulciano continues to enter a new era, Boscarelli remains dedicated to honoring tradition while shaping the future of the region.

“While wine currently accounts for just 11.2 percent of all non-alcoholic beverages, both NielsenIQ and IWSR find its share growing apace . . . But the story is as much about quality as quantity.” - Shanken News Daily, January 5th
The first Dry January of Alcohol Free is coming to a close, but the demand for quality-driven non-alcoholic options is just getting started. According to Nielsen, 92 percent of non-alcohol buyers also purchase alcohol-containing products. Villa Sandi leads with authenticity in the category, de-alcoholizing using vacuum distillation to preserve the aromatic and organoleptic profile. The result is fresh and inviting, with classic notes of apple, white peach and a hint of elderflower, and has made a splash debuting in the growing segment.
