Charter Oak Winery is best known for being one of Napa Valley’s most old-school, family-run, and artisan-style wineries—a very different experience from the larger, more commercial names in the region.

• Uses historic methods and equipment, including a century-old basket press
• Wines are made in small batches, with minimal intervention
• Style leans toward balance, softness, and drinkability rather than power

👉 This gives the wines a more European / old-world feel, which is rare in Napa.

• Founded by Italian immigrant Guido Ragghianti in the early 1900s
• Still run by his descendants Original house built in 1900
• The winery cellar is literally under the family home

👉 That continuity and personal ownership is a big part of its identity.
