Harvest has concluded, and in a few weeks the 2026 w**es will all be barreled down. Above us, the vine leaves burnish the terraces in yellow and red in the late afternoon sun. America's oldest Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay from our estate vineyard terraces harmonize so deftly in the 2024 L'Escalier. It's an heirloom white of Spring Mountain, built to age and showcase our terroir over any individual varietal.⁠

L'Escalier is a w**e of gastronomy and minimal production. We are grateful to be able to share this w**e with members of Stony Hill.

"The 2026 vintage has produced lighter than expected yields of beautifully vibrant and concentrated fruit. We started picking our Cabernet Sauvignon in Côtes des Pierres at the base of the property earlier this month and worked our way up the property to Côte Rouge last week. What better way was there to celebrate Luminary Harvest Weekend than with a gathering of our w**emakers and treasured guests at The Estate?⁠

There’s something moving and magical about the golden hour at Stony Hill. A serenity from the vineyards, redwoods, and firs seems to float in and alight in each of us. It provided our w**emakers Reid Griggs, Matt Taylor, and Brittany Sherwood a welcome breather from the rigors of harvest.⁠

Harvest is in full swing, and the time to celebrate is getting closer.

One month from today, Winemaker Reid Griggs and Chef Christina Machamer of Napa’s Clandestine Table will gather at The Residence to celebrate harvest 2026, using fresh and local Napa and Sonoma County produce to craft a 3-course, family-style lunch at our king’s table in the Amphitheater.

We’ll revel in our newest releases from the 2023 vintage, plus special library selections from our cellar.

All around the w**e world—from Côte-Rôtie to Cornas to the Clare—the ideal habitat for world-class Syrah is...a stony hill.

This month, we're excited to unveil the first Syrah produced by Stony Hill since 2019.

Our steep corner of Spring Mountain, with its rocky, well-drained soils, is prime terroir for powerful, soulful Syrah, delivered with grace.

Enter Reid Griggs, a w**emaker who once worked the slopes of St. Joseph alongside Pierre Gonon, and you have an auspicious alchemy.

Our members will be the first to experience the 2023 Syrah, and very soon. Reid made just 100 cases.
