We caught up with Macy Stubstad, our Director of Vineyard Operations, for her take on the 2026 vintage in the Napa Valley. It's going to be another fine year:
"The 2026 vintage is coming to an end as the fruit is about 95% in. The season was off to a historically early start, which led an early harvest, about three weeks ahead of 2025. Due to spring rains, the crop was lighter, with less berries per cluster and smaller berries. With lower yields, the quality of the fruit has been incredible. Small berries that pack a punch of flavor and concentration. With mild temperatures during harvest, we were able to build flavors at a steady pace alongside sugars. While the quantity of future 2026's will be smaller, the w**es are shaping up to be exceptional."
