We're so grateful to Eric Asimov for thinking of us in his article, "Celebrating 50 Years of Great American Wines" in the New York Times.

We're honored to be mentioned in the same company as Napa Valley colleagues that we respect very much, like Pilcrow, Harlan Estate, and Corison.

Our valley has come so far in 50 years, and we can't wait to see what the next 50 will bring. Read the article here: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/18/dining/drinks/american-wines.html

Luminary Harvest Weekend Day 2 will bring something special to Ink Grade: A guided tasting and lunch with winemaker Matt Taylor at The Home Ranch in St. Helena on Friday September 4th.

Guests will enjoy a family style lunch with Matt, where he will talk about his wines from Ink Grade, Haynes Vineyard, and Trailside Vineyard. You’ll sample wines from each winery as this veteran winegrower describes each terroir and his winemaking philosophy and methodology.

To learn more, check out the link in our bio. A big thanks to for helping to bring this to life!

Michelin-starred restaurant wine programs are home to some of the most finely-crafted, rare wines in the world. We're honored to be listed among them.

We're so grateful that Ink Grade wines can be found at luminaries like San Francisco's 3-star Quince, Los Angeles' 3-Star Providence, and the 2-star The Modern in New York.

A 19th century red field blend from Howell Mountain, made with all the care and precision afforded by 21st century winemaking. We are proud to release the sixth vintage of our Andosol Red.

Rarely do brix, acidity, and phenolic ripeness align so beautifully as they did in 2023, and this edition of Andosol reflects the completeness of its growing season: huckleberry, hibiscus, and dusty black plum all sing in harmony above a balanced, succulent palate. The wine is simply a joy to drink.

It's an honor to work with our colleague Matt Taylor, winemaker for not only Ink Grade, but Haynes Vineyard and Trailside Vineyard as well.

We're so thankful for James Molesworth's thoughtful article about him, "Matt Taylor's Yin and Yang," published this week in Wine Spectator.

We learned so much from our recent virtual tasting with Winemaker Matt Taylor and Estate Director Erik Elliott MS. "Lost Clouds" is one of the highest-elevation Merlot parcels in the Napa Valley. Here Matt explains how it got its name.

It's impossible not to fall under the verdant spell of Spring while exploring our remote vineyard, deep in the wilderness of Howell Mountain.

We call this The Road to Ink Grade, a private ride to the backcountry of Napa Valley in our custom Ink Grade Lexus GX 550 SUV.

Guests will be guided along the iconic Ink Grade Road to our eponymous vineyard where they will be fully immersed in its terroir. You will then return to The Home Ranch for a seated tasting to experience how the beauty of this Howell Mountain Estate is rendered in the glass.

Our recent virtual tasting was so fascinating. Here's a bit of wisdom from Erik Elliott MS and Winemaker Matt Taylor, discussing how Ink Grade is an early-ripening site, something rather counterintuitive when you know how high on the mountain we are.

Our Sauvignon Blanc is an intensely flavorful, floral, soil-inflected wine that can compare with the very best of Napa Valley and Bordeaux.

When your winemaker is a perfectionist who trained at both Domaine Dujac and Araujo / Eisele Estate—and you've got some of the highest, finest Sauvignon Blanc terroir in the Napa Valley—it's no surprise why Antonio Galloni called our 2023 “resonant, dynamic Sauvignon Blanc that offers a beguiling mix of varietal character and structure. This is a very distinctive white.”
