Heads up Napa! Gusty northerly winds and very dry overnight conditions are moving into the mountains around the Valley tonight, raising the risk of wildfire.

🚩 Red Flag Warning in effect for Napa County over the North Bay Interior Mountains from 10 PM tonight (Thursday, Oct. 15) until 11 AM Friday (Oct. 16), per the National Weather Service in San Francisco.

What to Expect:

• Tonight (Oct. 15 to 16): Gusty north winds and very dry air. The Red Flag Warning begins at 10 PM, so stay vigilant overnight.

• Friday morning, Oct. 16: Conditions remain critical until the warning ends at 11 AM.

What it means: A Red Flag Warning is issued when low humidity, warm temperatures, dry fuels and strong winds could combine to increase fire danger.

Safety Reminder: One spark can travel fast in these winds. Avoid outdoor burning, power tools near dry grass and any activity that could ignite vegetation. Follow your local fire department’s instructions and be ready to act if a fire develops nearby. Go bag tips and preparedness info are at ReadyNapaCounty.gov.
