Ever wonder what happens before the grapes appear? 🍇✨
We are officially in the “rapid shoot growth” stage! While the vineyards are looking lush and green, we aren’t at flowering just yet. If you look closely, you can see the inflorescence—those tiny green clusters that will eventually become our future harvest.

Coming up next: Bloom. This is when the flower caps fall off, pollination occurs, and the real magic begins.

In the meantime, we’re busy with cluster counts. By counting clusters on representative vines across each block, we get our first glimpse at the potential yield for the year. This data is vital—it helps us decide if we need to “drop fruit” later in the season to ensure every remaining grape gets the nutrients it needs for perfect balance and quality. 🍷

Meet the 2019 Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Lineup!

High above the valley floor, the vines have to fight for every drop of water and nutrient. That struggle is exactly what creates the nuance in our Appellation Mountain Cabernets. These aren’t just Napa wines; they are distinct expressions of the rugged, high-elevation ridges that define our skyline.

The 2019 vintage is one for the books—and the cellar. It was an incredible year that allowed these small, precious lots to develop incredible depth without losing their refined structure. For collectors, it’s a library vintage that perfectly captures the character of each single vineyard.
