Yesterday we had the best time celebrating the one-year anniversary of alongside so many of our favorite local friends💛

And of course… we celebrated in true Whitehall Lane style: crisp whites, bold reds, plenty of pickleball, vineyard views, tacos and good times shared with our community🌮🥂🍷🏓

Sipping our way into an Italian Summer state of mind🇮🇹🤌🏻✨Meet The Palermo—a bright, citrusy wine-based cocktail that tastes like sunshine on the Sicilian coast, featuring our Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp, refreshing, and just a little salty… basically summer in a glass🍝🌊🥂

🍊The Palermo Recipe:
• 3 oz Sauvignon Blanc
• 2.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
• ½ oz simple syrup (or honey syrup)
• ½ oz fresh lime juice
• Sparkling water
• Coarse salt (for rim)

How to make it:
Shake the wine, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and lime juice with ice.
Rim your glass with coarse salt, pour over fresh ice, and top with sparkling water.

• Planted Oakville bluegrass as a cover crop in 2018 ⁠
• We brought sheep to the winery to promote better vineyard biodiversity
• Installed solar panels and EV chargers in 2017⁠
• Reduced our carbon footprint with lighter-weight glass bottles ⁠
• Switched to biodegradable compressed pulp for wine bottle packaging and shipping ⁠
• Built owl boxes to support natural pest control ⁠

In celebration of we took a stroll through our Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blocks at our Bommarito Vineyard in Rutherford–just a hop, skip and a jump from the winery🥾🍇 We spoke with winemaker Jason Moulton about all things sustainability—from planting Oakville Bluegrass to regenerative farming practices and how we can continue to provide sustainability for the future generations of the Leonardini Family♻️🍷

We've just finished our 2025 Semillon, which we've bottled in lighter weight glass to reduce our carbon footprint. From vineyard to bottle, it's not just a sustainability trend. It's our responsibility🌎❤️ Feeling especially grateful for our Napa Valley home this Earth Month.
