NVV has invested $2.1 million in a more wildfire-resilient Napa County.
Keeping our community prepared for wildfire takes year-round work, strong partnerships and long-term investment.
Our latest investment is an $85,000 grant to Napafirewise for the second year of its Valley Stewards Initiative. The initiative maps water sources, emergency access roads, fuel breaks and other resources across Napa County, giving firefighters better information before an emergency happens.
Following the devastating wildfires of 2020, wildfire prevention and preparedness became a top priority for Napa Valley Vintners. Since then, we’ve worked with policymakers at the county, state and federal levels to advocate for greater government resources—efforts that helped secure $25 million for fire resiliency in our community—while NVV and our members have also invested directly in local solutions.
From emergency communications and wildfire detection to fire roads, forest restoration and today’s Valley Stewards Initiative, we’re proud to support the people and organizations working year-round to make Napa County safer and more resilient.
Take a look at how these investments are making a difference across our community.
