Imagine, if you will (Entry No. 47)
An M6 Creative reflection
🌫️
Imagine, if you will…
Two people walking parallel paths through fog and fire,
both carrying their own storms and sunlight,
both finally learning how to breathe again.
🌫️
I’ve spent seven years unlearning the noise of survival,
finding steadiness in the quiet,
learning that solitude isn’t punishment—
it’s rehearsal for peace.
🌫️
And somewhere out there,
someone else is doing the same work—
healing, parenting, fighting the good fight,
turning pain into art and exhaustion into grace.
🌫️
There was a night we traded a song,
an old one about growing older,
about needing and being needed
“when I’m sixty-four.”
I still smile every time I hear it.
Because hidden in that tune was the question
two people asked without saying:
Will we still need each other
when the world calms down enough to notice us?
🌫️
I don’t name her here.
I don’t need to.
The universe knows who I mean.
🌫️
What I’ve learned is this:
real love doesn’t chase;
it waits, works, and becomes ready.
It builds a life worth inviting someone into—
a home made of patience, laughter,
and the soft strength of holding hands
without needing words.
🌫️
If our paths cross again—
when the fog thins,
when the timing is kind—
I’ll be there, steady and smiling.
No pressure, no promises,
just presence.
🌫️
Because sometimes the most beautiful love stories
begin in the pause between messages.
