Flowers Paid Forward: Triad High School edition! Do you ever have days when your head hits the pillow at night and you think, days like these are what it's all about?! Yesterday was one of those for us! Triad High School is doing great things! We got to utilize their brand new Life Skills Transition House - Knight's Crossing - to make little bouquets with the students there. Then, we headed to main campus to spend time in the TLS program with some of our favorite students and staff! These students KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK making the most beautiful bouquets with our team! I think we lost actual count of the bouquets, but I believe we landed at somewhere around 60 mini bouquets. Each student within the program took one of their creations home to their family and then shared one with a staff member at THS that supports students with a variety of special needs. Thank you to these families and staff for investing in the lives of these amazing students! We'll keep saying it every chance we get...IT MATTERS! YOU MATTER! KEEP DOING THE GOOD, HARD WORK! Thank you for helping plant seeds and for helping these students bloom.
Many of these blooms came from seeds these students planted last spring as part of our Classroom Seed Planting Initiative. Others were grown by Jen Wild Hearts Flower Farm. We also made a new friend, Heidi, who started the cutest cut flower garden at her home in Troy (Clover & Wing). She was so gracious to donate some beautiful blooms to supplement ours in order to pull off the large number of bouquets. More seeds of hope keep being sown! To our donors, again, we say THANK YOU!
