🥚💚 LOOK WHAT OUR NEIGHBOR BROUGHT US!

One of the things I’m loving about this off-grid farm life is the community. Our neighbor surprised us with two beautiful GREEN eggs! 😍🐓

And of course, now I’m looking at our flock like… WHO is going to start laying green eggs for us?! 😂👀

Every little experience out here teaches us something new about chickens, farming, food, and the people around us.

From neighbors sharing eggs to eventually having enough of our own to share with others — this is what building community looks like. 🌱🏡💚

OUR VERY FIRST FARM-FRESH EGG! 🥚😭❤️

From bringing home our first little chicks, raising them through the Arizona heat, building and learning as we go…to THIS.

It may be one little egg, but to us it represents growth, patience, food production and LEGACY.

And the fact that Ja’Lani discovered it and captured the moment himself makes it even more special. ❤️

Now the big question is…

Our farm family just grew again! ❤️🌱

A wonderful family donated this sweet 2-month-old puppy to Javon’s Legacy Farm, and we are excited to officially introduce BUDDY! 🐶

As we continue building our 80-acre off-grid farm, we’re not just growing food—we’re building a place filled with animals, family, learning, responsibility, and LEGACY.

Buddy now gets to grow right alongside the farm. From puppyhood to becoming one of the four-legged members watching over the homestead, you’ll get to watch his journey with us. 🐾🏡🐔🌱

A huge THANK YOU to Cackle Hatchery for your amazing support! 💛 Our 25 little chicks officially arrived, and yes—we had to make a special trip to the post office to pick up our newest little family members! 🐣🐣🐣

There’s something so exciting about opening that box and hearing all those tiny chirps. 🥹💛

We’re incredibly grateful for the support and can’t wait to share their journey as these little babies grow. 🌱🐔

🐥❤️ BIG NEWS — OUR FLOCK IS GROWING!

Y’all… WE GOT A YES! 🥹🐣🌱

We are incredibly excited to announce that Cackle Hatchery has chosen to support Javon’s Legacy Farm with a donation of new chicks!

This is such a blessing for our growing farm and another step toward expanding our poultry operation, producing more fresh eggs, strengthening food security, and continuing to build something meaningful in Javon’s memory.

Now we need a little help from our village!

🚨 THE CHICKS ARE COMING — AND WE NEED TO GET READY!

We are preparing their new brooder now and are looking for anyone who may have chick supplies sitting around that they would be willing to donate.

Our biggest immediate needs are:

🐥 Brooder setup/enclosure
🔥 Brooder heating plate/heater — NO heat lamps, please
🥣 Chick feeders
💧 Chick waterers
🌾 Chick starter feed
🪵 Pine shavings/bedding
🌡️ Brooder thermometer
⚡ Any other useful chick-brooding supplies

Because Javon’s Legacy Farm is completely off-grid, we are specifically looking for a low-energy brooder plate/heater rather than a traditional heat lamp.

Used equipment is absolutely welcome as long as it is safe, clean and in working condition. You do NOT have to go out and buy something new to help us. If you have brooder equipment your chickens have outgrown and it’s collecting dust in the barn, garage or shed, we can put it back to work! ❤️

🐱🐱 AND THEN THERE WERE TWO MORE! ❤️

We received another unexpected blessing for Javon’s Legacy Farm.

A second family has donated 2 kittens (Stasche and Spooky) to our farm! 🥹❤️

That means two completely separate families have now chosen to entrust us with new little members of our growing farm family.

Building this farm has taught us that sometimes the legacy grows in ways you never planned. 🌱

These two kittens now have 80 acres of farm life for them, and we’re grateful for sharing their personalities, adventures and growth with all of you.

Thank you to Sheila and Dan for choosing Javon’s Legacy Farm as their new home. ❤️

🐱❤️ THREE NEW LITTLE FACES ARE COMING TO JAVON’S LEGACY FARM!

Our farm family is growing!

A family has generously chosen to donate 3 kittens (the twins Bella and Milo and Shadow) to Javon’s Legacy Farm, and we are so excited to welcome them to their new home on our 80-acre off-grid farm. 🌱

Every animal that joins us becomes part of the life we are building here — a farm rooted in family, purpose, agriculture and carrying forward Javon’s legacy.

We’re incredibly grateful to Angelica and Edwin for trusting us with these babies. ❤️

We can’t wait to introduce each one to you!

💔 OUR CAT SASSY IS MISSING FROM THE RANCH

Our sweet Sassy never came home.

We live in a very remote area surrounded by open land and wildlife. One of our neighbors recently had a cat disappear as well, and there is concern that a great horned owl or another predator may be active in the area.

We don't know what happened to Sassy, and we aren't giving up hope that she may still find her way home.

If you live on one of the surrounding ranches or travel through the area, please keep an eye out for her and check barns, sheds, trailers, equipment, and other places where a frightened or injured cat might take shelter.

This is one of the realities we're learning about living off-grid and sharing this land with wildlife—but Sassy is family, and we want our girl home. 💔🐾
