Mums are an easy pop of color that can transform your front porch from NICE to OUTSTANDING and have it ready for fall!
Our mums are blooming right on target, and we’re excited to share them with you. Horsmon Farm has been growing mums for over 40 years!
A few fun MUM FACTS:
• Mums are short-day plants — the longer nights of late summer and fall trigger them to bloom.
• Cooler fall temperatures help mums hold their blooms and color longer.
• Mums love sunshine! Give them plenty of sun for the best-looking plants.
• Don’t let them dry out. Those big, beautiful plants can drink a surprising amount of water, especially on warm, sunny days.
• Water at the soil level when possible instead of soaking the flowers. This helps those blooms stay prettier longer.
• Different varieties bloom at different times, which is why you’ll see some plants bursting with color while others are still covered in buds.
After more than four decades of growing mums, we still love watching the mum change from green to a sea of fall color.
Fall is blooming at Horsmon Farm!
