The 2025 garlic harvest has begun. I harvested 1/4 of my red German garlic yesterday, and I am very pleased with the results. The garlic will be tied into bunches of 15 bulbs each and hung from the garage rafters to cure for approximately a month.🤠

Kerry is going all out for the market in Saint Louis today! She has giant cookies (chocolate chip, peanut butter, and molasses), sweet breads (banana, zucchini, cinnamon, and pumpkin), wheat breads (whole wheat and white), chocolate brownies, cinnamon rolls, and four strawberry/rhubarb pies.

The 2025 picking season has begun! These are the large berries I was waiting for. I have three strawberry patches, and this newest one is also the earliest. The patch receives full sun most of the day. Most of the strawberries will be frozen and made into strawberry and strawberry/rhubarb jams this coming winter.

I cut two 5-gallon pails of garlic scapes. I will have to put them in a cooler with ice when I get home from the farm. It wouldn't be wise to put them in Kerry Mossner baked goods refrigerator; they definitely have a garlic smell.🤠

I will be harvesting the German Red Garlic scapes in about another week. Since I want to have the scapes as fresh as possible for the end-user, I would like to find people interested in the scapes before harvest.

Please let me know if you are interested in getting some fresh garlic scapes for making garlic butter, pesto, dehydrating, etc.
