As our 2026 season has come to an end, we are in the process of completing all the end of season chores (starting seeds in the greenhouse is so much more fun!). Mother nature has surely kept us on our toes this season, but all in all it has been a good season with many first and lots of growth.
Both The Canal Side Farmers Market - St. Marys, OH and Celina Farmers' Market have continued to be good to us and we are so grateful to the customers and people that work behind the scenes to keep them going and growing.
Opening our home roadside stand this year was a big step forward and I have to say...we have been quite impressed and humbled by the customers that have made the trip out to support it!!
We have been able to continue to connect with Our Daily Bread to provide fresh, home grown melons and sweet corn to their menu- thank you Paula and all those that give of their time!
Behind the scenes here, we have been working hard on our next investment for our home stand and our farmers markets.
This project was made possible as we were awarded an EQIP grant through the soil and water conservation program. Janelle (USDA-NRCS) and Darian ( Tunnel Vision Hoops LLC - an Ohio company in Shaker Heights) have been awesome to work with and we cannot thank them enough for their help.
This high tunnel will allow us to start crops earlier and compliment our produce production with some new practices.
2027 will definitely present us with new challenges of farming in a high tunnel and all it entails along with the challenges of farming in Ohio, but we are super excited to see where this takes us.
When you are out, don't hesitate to ask to take a peak at what is happening in the high tunnel.
