September is Hunger Action month!!

We will be spending the month trying to help our neighbors by filling little food pantries across the area 🩷

🤔 Did you know people right here in our community fave food insecurities?

It's estimated that 48 million people face food insecurities in the US alone 😕 These people are your neighbors, your classmates, your friends or maybe even members of your family.

No one in our community should be hungry and we are doing our best to help where we can 🩷

🥫We regularly stock our Kindness Closet, located right in front of New Horizons 233 Brusselles St., St. Marys. It's a free food and hygiene pantry that everyone has access to.

🥫 We fill other little pantries in our area, Ridgway, Johnsonburg, Penfield, DuBois and other within St. Marys. If you know of a another pantry that needs filled, let us know!

🥫Free meals are available at Village Peddler Country Store and Cafe for anyone that needs one

🥫Emergency food boxes available upon request

Want to help?

🍏 You can sponsor a meal at the Village Peddler, Donations can be dropped off at New Horizons or stop at the Village Peddler and see Todd.

🍎 When grocery shopping, pick up an extra item and add it to a free pantry or donate to our local food bank

🍏 Put a little pantry in your neighborhood

🍎If you know someone who needs help, let them know the resources that are available

🍏 Shop local and support all of our wonderful small businesses, they are the first ones to help whenever help is needed

Toad Army Assemble! These guys are all over the garden right now, you got to watch where you are stepping. Glad to have the little buggers. They had reproduced this year in the “heart pond”, which was the first one I had ever dug. I’m glad they liked it.

Chik’N and Garden Veggie Soup in the cooler. Open 11-3 pm today

I have lots of Cide free garden veggies to put to use so I made a pot of soup. Its base is mostly water and blended potatoes. Between the potatoes, soy curls, and lentils this is a nice filling thick soup.
Gym members don’t forget if I’m not open you can still purchase via the honor system just like the energy bars and other products.
