It is with regret that Ethel and I announce the closure of Gibbes Farm Cross Country training course. We began developing this facility over 27 years ago, inspired by our daughters' involvement in Three-Day Eventing.
During our early competition travels to Florida, we observed that while novice courses there adhered to class dimensions, their design often presented greater challenges compared to those found in South Carolina or Georgia. I noticed that junior riders were facing challenges that exceeded their present skill levels, which motivated me to create a facility featuring a variety of jumps suitable for training riders at all levels. Our primary objective was to support the development of young riders.
Throughout this endeavor, we have had the privilege of meeting many remarkable individuals and building strong relationships within the equestrian community.
Due to the increasing challenges related to maintenance and insurance expenses, we regret to announce that Gibbes Farm Cross Country will cease operations effective January 2, 2026. We sincerely
appreciate everyone who has participated in and supported our cross-country venue over the years.
