Tonight I had a few minutes to reflect on the fact that this tree, which suffered lightning damage many years ago, still continues to provide a much needed break from the heat for over 20 years now. I played on it as a child, and now our children get to play on it and come up with all kinds of very imaginative names for each of the sheep along the way.
You never quite know what each day will bring, especially with livestock, so for now we’ll all enjoy good company, the cool shade, and the chance to slow down and laugh at the ewe who’s new unfortunate name is… “spider egg” 😄
