We would like to thank the heart of our sale that made it a huge success, and it was the staff. To start Holly Waldron had the yards , barns and sale block and catalogs and Update sheets on point along with getting all the food made, yes she is the glue . J.W photography ,Jessica Waldron did a fantastic job again on pictures and Videos. Becky Steele Drlik did a great job as a sales manager and and thank you with supporting our vision on having this type of sale . Dennis Wood was a huge help as ringman and handling phone bids. A huge thank you to Lane Hollingsworth for doing a phenomenal job as the Auctioneer. And finally we cant forget our great sale clerk Ella Wilkins . It was an extreme memorable day and thanks you to our buyers

The next person that we need to mention that was a huge help with getting us started , management critiques and selection is Mr Eric Bruns . When we decided 10 or 11 years ago to get into the sheep business we had a couple breeds that we liked but it was spending a whole afternoon with Eric at Riverwood that helped us decide that the white dorper breed was going to be the one for us. As mentioned before our first ewe was a Riverwood ewe but as we started to accumulate our flock at the beginning we called on Eric a lot for advice and tips and he was always there to help us out. We have traveled a lot of Roads together through the years but we will have to say watching the phenomenal year that Eric had with the Bailey Ridge flock, which he had just assembled three years prior was one of our best road trips to date ! Thank you Eric for your guidance and support!

Our sale was a huge success for us but as we reflect to where we are now we will be making posts about people who were definitely influential in our flock but first we felt it was important to mention the one who was extremely influential to the breed and also the original establishment of this breed in the United States. If you are involved in the Dorper or White Dorper breed in any form of fashion and if you don't know this man you definitely should ! This ladies and gentlemen is Mr Jim Klingbeil of Riverwood Farms. Jim happened to stumble across our wonderful breeds in South Africa when he was on Safari with his family and it was his insight along with others that Introduced our breeds to the United States. With that being said Holly and I have had the distinct opportunity to be able to work for Jim at all of his production and dispersal sales with the Dorpers, White Dorpers and Dorsets and Aberdeen's at Riverwood Farms along with show flocks and Cattle strings . Our only regret is we wish we had the opportunity to be around the phenomenal herd of Charolais he onve had as well. Jim's advise and mentorship has been absolutely invaluable even if it was given with a little jab or a touch of sarcasm. The very first ewe we purchased was from Riverwood and Jim and Eric Bruns really helped us in the availability in the genetics especially in the form of rams . Thank you Jim for all of your support , moments of nervousness (Inside joke ) and attendance at our first production sale

It's sale day. Check out our consignments at wlivestock.com. Online bidding started at 8am. At 6pm the sale will conclude with a live finish where you can continue with bidding online or bid in person at the farm.
