The first menu is locked for our residency at Barrel Theory Beer Company. The Queen and I are beyond excited to be cooking again after the holiday break. Our residency starts this Friday January 6th at 4pm 📢📢📢

Mojo👏Braised👏Chicken👏Thigh👏

This summer classic is back and it’s the wake up call you need going into ‘23! We braise chicken thighs for what seems like days in our scratch made Mojo. Punchy and bright, topped with classic street taco fixings and a lime crema!

Curry👏Braised👏Pork👏Shoulder👏

We are taking our barked out pork shoulder, remember those MN Pockets 🤯🤤🤯, and braising it low and slow in green curry! Topped with Cambo-Chimi, think South East Asian chimichurri, and a Cambodian Crema. Fans of the Queen’s Cambodian steak sauce this is your taco!

Each taco comes 💪stacked💪 on a 6 inch corn tortilla and you can mix and match any two for only $15!!!

We not done, Black Beans and Mexican rice are the only pairing in our minds for these tacos. Both come together for only $5 and they will also be our vegetarian option.

Looking for dessert? The Queen said say less. The scratch made by hand Oatmeal Cream Pie from Roll’d Up Twin Cities Bistro is back and is giving you all those warm, nostalgic vibes for only $5.

A little time off treat 🤤🤤🤤

We love getting a little time off to play around in the kitchen. Taking some time to work on new ideas, at our own pace, with our puppies at home is beyond therapeutic. Feeling super thankful to have a lovely home we can be creative in. ❤️

Oatmeal Cream Pie 🫠🫠🫠

Cinnamon, brown sugar, and molasses make these Oatmeal Cream Pies chewy and warm. Spiced cream cheese filling takes this simple classic over the top.

Let’s take it back a min 🕰

My childhood consisted of soups, stews, and char grilled meats seasoned with this most beloved Cambodian base called Kroeung. I remember waking up on a Saturday morning, running to the kitchen and seeing Yey (grandma) already getting started making it.

Of course she leaves the pestle and mortar part for me. I would sit in my little wooden stool and get to work. Little by little she threw in galangal, tumeric, kefir lime leaves, and garlic. Almost with a sixth sense she knew my sound and time, just when I needed more. I would pound away breaking down the tough fibers until my arms got weak.

She added the last bit which packs the umami punch, Prohok, which is fermented mud fish. Oooweee when it’s all said and done the aroma fills the room. The most fragrant citrus from the lemongrass and kefir, the garlic, and salty fish just washes over. It’s absolutely something that everyone should make from scratch at least once in their lives. The amount of effort it takes just for the foundation of every meal is just so rewarding in the end.

This Friday at the pop-up, I’m going to make a Kroeung marinated Shrimp for the cold noodles and of course a Green Curry with a lot of Kroeung added to the coconut milk base.

I’m so excited to showcase more Cambodian dishes for you all, please make sure you get your bowl this Friday, and give me a big hug too okay?!

Milk Bun Adventures.

What happens when you have extra Milk Bun dough and your whole sale orders are already done? You have some fun with it!

Who remembers Italian/Pizza Dunkers??? We sure do, and that’s what we did with the extra dough!

A classic loaf style topped with fresh shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, we also tossed on a couple pepperoni cups 🤤🤤🤤

Then we tried another shaped like a large soft baked pretzel. You know we had to load that one up with cheese as well! With a side of scratch marinara sauce this dish transported us back through time.

Wonder what else we could come up with…
