I shared a cookie picture this morning, so I feel like I can also share a new puppy picture as well! 😂 She is 3 pounds of puppy perfection. She sleeps through the night, she's confident and smart. But the most important thing to me is that she and Lexie snuggle and play all day long. They never leave each other's side. 🥰

My customer (who is amazing and I just love to bake for her!) left the designs completely up to me, as long as they match the theme. They were for a joint baby shower for her daughter and niece, genders unknown. How cool is that?!

Back to cookies after two days of puppy pics! This baby shower was a tea party. ❤️ My customer wanted pastel pinks and blues, florals and mama’s name which is Huab Nra. Other than that, the designs were up to me!

I'm not going to bombard my page with too many puppy pictures... well, at least I'm going to try not to post too many! No promises. 😂. I'll put more pictures in the comments if you want to see more.

But the meeting between Lexie and Mira went so.well! I think because they are full siblings, there was an extra instant connection. Lexie is obsessed with her. Literally obsessed. And you can see she's so gentle with her!

Mira is adjusting well. Slept 6 hours on her own in her playpen! I'm just crazy in love.

Another 5 timer into the history books! I have made sweet Everly’s birthday cookies every one of her 5 years. I look forward to it every year because I want to see what she’s into that year and what amazing ideas my customer has for them! (Although I can guess that it involves pink and purple! 😀)

But I also look forward to it because I have grown to love this family so much, so it’s very rewarding for me to pour this love into the cookies. I almost find it relaxing— having a place to put that love! I don’t know if that makes sense, but it’s how I feel! Lots of orders, many decorating classes, chit chats over messenger, the sweetest comments on my pictures… I mean, I could go on and on about how special this customer has become to me. (And her squad of friends! 🥰)

The other day, I accidentally clicked a button that showed me all my orders from the very beginning when I launched my website. And I saw that my VERY FIRST order on this new site was this customer and Everly’s first birthday cookies. Hundreds of orders (thousands if you include hot cocoa bombs!) have now come through my site… but darling baby Everly started it all.

Happy birthday, sweet girl! You are so adored!

Last week was a lot! Almost one for the record books as far as number of dozens of cookies going out my door— and last week was the same! Fourteen hour days for two weeks straight makes this cookier tired… but happy!

This set was for one of my favorite customers for her daughter’s baby shower. The theme was “Bonjour bébé!” with lots and lots of florals. She sent me many inspiration pictures with cookies she wanted circled. They were all super cute and it was easy to pull together into a cohesive set.

This bride-to-be is a figure skating coach and my customer wanted that incorporated in a couple of the designs. I had romance on the brain while designing this set… so I thought the skates looked like they were cuddling. Now I realize that’s just a normal pair of ice skates! But still. It works! 😂

Announcement! Meet Mirabelle, our new puppy!

The story is a bit of a miracle. I had written to Lexie's breeder (who is the absolute best! She is the one that took this video for me.) to ask her to please let us know if she got another shichon puppy that was about Lexie's size. (She is about half the size of most shichons!) She said she would let us know. Nothing for a year and a half.

About a month ago, we had a couple play dates with our friend's puppy. We realized that because Luna is so elderly and arthritic, Lexie really misses active play. TWO DAYS after my husband and I had that discussion about maybe we need a puppy, our breeder wrote saying she had a tiny girl. My heart burst and I knew she was ours.

Then, two weeks ago, Luna passed. It was such a comfort to us to know that in a few short weeks, Lexie was going to get her next sister. We've all had a few very hard weeks to grieve our precious Luna.... and now new life and love is going to enter our family.

Not only that... Lexie and Mirabelle are full siblings! Same mom and dad, different litter obviously. My kids and I are making the 4 hour drive to Iowa to pick her up in exactly one week. I'm beyond excited.

PS. I always feel bad when I say that we get our dogs from a breeder instead of a rescue. But my husband is so allergic that I need or make sure we are getting a full hypoallergenic doggie. No "grandma was a golden retriever" type situation!
