Open Pollinated High Rye Bourbon

Bødalen Bottled in Bond is a high rye bourbon wh***ey born of grain grown and harvested by head distiller Michael Swanson.

Bottled in bond occupies a rarefied place in the wh***ey world. 100 proof. Must be at least 4 years old. Distilled and aged on site under the supervision of a single distiller, in a single season.

TASTING NOTES
Toffee, sweet corn, and bright orange zest greet the nose. Peppery and vegetal entry on the palate with a rich, woodsy depth and traditional bourbon warmth. Long and persistent on the finish, featuring notes of bitter chocolate and brown sugar.

Claire will tend to all the fine folk and all your favorite establishments up the North Shore and thereabouts, working locally right out of Duluth - Minnesota's Zenith City of the Unsalted Seas. Hip! Hip!

"I’m Claire! I was born and raised in the Northwoods of Minnesota, and my heart will always live here. I love the bitter cold, harsh winters, and I have never been able to stay away from Lake Superior for very long."

"My interest in w**e began at a young age. My parents had a friend who collected fine w**es, and I was allowed to taste with the adults at monthly gatherings. There was always a solid amount of discussion involved, and it taught me to treat alcohol (especially w**e) with a degree of respect, and a little bit of awe.

"Through my time in college (University of Minnesota, Duluth - B.A. Environment & Sustainability), I worked in restaurants and decided to stay there past graduation. I love the energy of people connecting over good food and w**e, and above all things - I just love dinner! After being in restaurants for over a decade, I wore many hats. My favorite of those being a w**e director, so it only feels natural to be a part of the W**e Company in this chapter of my life. I am very grateful to work in a field that I am passionate about.

"In my off time, you can find me wading in a river up the North Shore, being covered with dirt in the garden, or elbow deep in some landscaping project. Of course, wining and dining with my close friends takes up quite a bit of my spare time, and I am known to dominate a game of badminton."

A throwback to the bygone Vertical Series Pinhook Rye … is another privilege entirely.

Palo santo and brown sugar greets the nose echoing across the palate with a sweet caramelized fennel bulb and a vinous finish and a sweet spice lingering on and on… especially from this Bar Rituals Rocks Glass by Riedel out of Austria. 🐎 🥃 🇦🇹 👨🏻‍🍳👌🏻💋
