🥭 Food safety reminder: when traceback records are weak, outbreak investigations get a whole lot harder.
A recent report on a Salmonella Saintpaul outbreak linked to mangoes shows why traceability matters so much in the food supply chain. When brand details, lot tracking, and supply chain records are incomplete, it becomes more difficult for investigators to pinpoint the source and act quickly. And in food safety, speed matters. ⏱️
This is a great reminder for food businesses: strong recordkeeping is not just paperwork—it helps protect public health, support faster investigations, and build more confidence across the supply chain.
Because “we’ll figure it out later” is not a food safety plan. 😅
