We heard our name and got to walk at one of the biggest BBQ competitions!!!
American Royal World Series of Barbecue!!!! What a great feeling!!
15th place Pork Compart Family Farms and finished 66th place overall with 370 teams competing!!!

This past weekend was fun packed and full of BBQ and FUN! Started out at the American Royal! The new facility is awesome can’t wait to see it when it’s all done! Thanks Snake River Farms and Blues Hog for the Thursday night shinnanigans! Always a good time 😊

We left early Friday morning to make the four hour trip to LaBelle and cook at The Sho-me Showdown- Andre Nixon does a great job with this contest! We cooked our cook out of a U-Haul with a drum and Traeger’s. Had a few hiccups and no time line but overall our cook went pretty good. We left right after turn-ins and headed back to KC! We ended up with a 7th place Brisket call and a 10th place Chicken call. 16th place Ribs and well we tanked in Pork 29th.
12th place over all! Congrats to all who heard their names called! Kyle Hamburg 180!!! Rudes BBQ RGC! No Place Like Smoke on their GC!!!

We packed up and were out of there! I think we would have even beat Heavy Smoke leaving 😂(If he would have been there) Jason made record time getting us back to KC (Right Joe 😂). So we could get our meat prepped for our cook in the Open at the Royal, then be able to go watch awards and cheer on our friends!

Checked on our boxes and the Kale had a funny smell…..long story short I went at 6 am to go find more kale and rebuild all of our boxes, ughh! Anyhow the cook went good we were happy with the food, although the Brisket was AMAZING it was too tender to place where we had hoped.

Still so excited just to hear our name and walk that walk….We earned a Ribbon at the Royal!

Congrats to ALL who heard there names! Especially our gravel friends (IYKYK)😂We in the Gravel kicked some butt! T-Rex BBQ!!! Never Easy BBQ!!! Bbq Pit Bros and anyone else I am missing! Congrats to Smokey Bey’s on your GC! So Awesome to see who gets crowned! Congrats Pop A Top Cookers on RGC! Also Smokey D's BBQ for receiving the Legend award, very cool!

Here we GO!
Making memories in the back of a U-Haul 🤣. Got the Drum needle up! Cooking 3 meats on a drum with a whole new time line, we’re up for the challenge! At the Sho Me BBQ Showdown in La Belle, MO. Leaving right after turns ins to head back to American Royal World Series of Barbecue just in time to prep meats for tomorrow and watch awards. Good Luck to all teams competing today!!

We competed in the 17th Street Barbecue, Praise The Lard BBQ contest in Murphysboro, IL this past weekend. Although we did not bring home an apple we had a great time under the water tower. Thank you, Darren and Sherry for having us in As***le Alley once again 😊.

We went to Korte Meats and WOW, they have an awesome facility! Very Clean, they have a Market with an awesome selection of fresh cuts of meat (they also have frozen and smoked available as well) they have a little bit of everything! Very Impressed. Check it out if you’re ever in the area!

We went to Pats BBQ! What we do hear about Pat is how cool of a guy he is! Let’s just say he’s a Goat…I heard him say he passed that down to Darren. 😂

We had a few hiccups, but we had a solid cook.

We finished 23rd out of 71 teams.
Our best finish was Brisket - 13th place (a five-way tie for 10th)
Ribs 24th
Pork 30th
Chicken 41st

On to American Royal World Series of Barbecue for a little FUN and we are also making a pit stop in LaBelle, MO. to cook at the LaBelle BBQ Showdown.

We had a great time in Excelsior Springs, Missouri at the BBQ & Fly In on the River contest. Great job to the organizers and volunteers !! It was very well organized!

Thank you for the awesome breakfast handhelds from The Smokey D’S Wannabees. Awesome cook again! Keep it rolling, Lindsay & Jeff!

We heard our name called with a 4th place call in Chicken 🤩. Ended up 24th out of 85 Great teams.

Congrats Triple H BBQ on Grand Champion and BBQ Maestros on RCG and punching your tickets to VEGAS!! We are excited to see you there! 🤩.

We made the longest trip for a BBQ contest so far for Smokin’ Suckers. Jason had the itch to cook, so he signed up for the SD BBQ Championships in Huron, SD. We meet up with Never Easy BBQ and drove through the night to get there. We heard our name called first in Chicken…not a top 10 or 11th place, but 12th place. Our first wild child BABY!! (Thanks to the 11th place team for not buying in.) We also heard our name called for a 6th place Brisket, which was good enough for 9th place over all! We will take it! Congrats to all who heard their names called!
