Good Morning!! (Monday, August 17)

Second half of garden is ripening! Been a tough season of replanting and heavy rains, but that’s farming! Vacations are done and now ready for the final 2 1/2 months.

Have started with a few watermelons, more to check today.

Tomatoes are slowly ripening.

Cucumbers continue.

Peppers finally popped while I was away and finally in my shop!

Some squash is ready…..spaghetti and acorn, but the weather seems just to hot yet for fall produce. May start with a few this week.

We will have pumpkins, gourds and mini pumpkins; also white pumpkins.

Stop out and see the continuing changes!!

Finally have cucumbers! Even some pickling in my shop and some beautiful green peppers, jalapeños and zucchini. Stop out! This heat is really tough to work in, but a bit of rain would be great…..but not in the forecast!

Hello friends!

I put a little bit of produce in the shop…..zucchini, few green peppers and jalapeños, few small cucumbers…. Very slow start, but will be more cucumbers in weeks to come!

If there’s such a thing as too much rain, in the beginning of planting it happened! Drown some things out, cukes being one and needed to replant most of them; looking great now; most starting with little baby blossoms and I/2 inch cucumbers. Now to wait…..

Tomatoes are on board, few green ones starting.
Watermelon looks beautiful; lots of squash; plants look beautiful. Planted Gourds again this year…..skipped them for a few years.

And….pumpkin plants look good and healthy, also had to replant many of them. But there is plenty of time for them yet.

So that’s that for the time being! Stop out!
