Some bottles hold whiskey. Others hold a moment in time. For our first barrel selection together, A1 Wine & Spirits and the St. Charles Bourbon Society searched for something worthy of both. In the year of Americaβs 250th Anniversary, we wanted a bottle that carried more than flavor a bottle that carried history, tradition, and the stories shared wherever a glass is raised among friends.
That search led us to Old Dominick Barrel #1305. Six years of patience, finished with toasted American oak, transformed into something rich and enduring. Nose opens like the door of an old rickhouse after rain dark caramel, toasted vanilla, roasted pecans, orange oil, and weathered oak drifting slowly from the glass. The palate arrives rich and commanding, unfolding layers of maple sweetness, baking spice, charred oak, and dark fruit across a velvet texture shaped by toasted American oak staves. Then comes the finish long, warm, and reflective, where caramelized sugar, spice, to***co, and lingering oak fade together with remarkable grace, leaving the memory of the pour long after the sip is gone.
Created in honor of 250 years of an unfolding American story, this bottle reflects more than heritage, it reflects community. Set against the backdrop of St. Charles Main Street, it stands as a reminder that bourbon is never just about what is poured, but about where it is shared and who it brings together. The whiskey will fade, but the memory of the moment will not.
