Thank you for staying with us while we changed our mission. Our mission is now on our website but we wanted our fans to learn about what's new for Eat Local. For one as soon as Facebook allow us to change the name we will be dropping the word Let's.
Below is our mission we know it's long but we feel strongly so please read and join us on our mission.
We firmly believe that our local restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and brew pubs are the beating heart of our communities. They provide the spaces where friendships are forged, memories are made, and bonds are strengthened. Just imagine a community without these vibrant gathering places—it would be devoid of life and joy. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic dealt a devastating blow to these cherished establishments, many of which were unprepared to weather prolonged shutdowns. To add insult to injury, our government's distribution of grants seemed arbitrary, leaving countless businesses struggling to stay afloat. Forced to take on burdensome loans, the dreams of these local gems were shattered by circumstances beyond their control.
But we refuse to let this stand. As steadfast defenders of our communities, we have decided to rise up and fight back. And we're doing it with the help of our very own superhero, a symbol of our unwavering commitment to supporting local restaurants and brew pubs. Our superhero (he’s the photo above) is yet to be named, and we invite you, our community, to join us in christening this champion of local dining. Stay tuned for exciting opportunities to contribute your ideas and become part of our superhero's story.
In our quest to empower and uplift our beloved restaurant community, we have created a new website, Eat-Local.co. While it is still in its infancy, we promise to tirelessly load it with information about the amazing restaurants and brew pubs in our area. This website will serve as a valuable resource for you, our esteemed diners, simplifying the process of discovering, tracking, and savoring the culinary delights our partners have to offer. With Eat-Local.co, you can keep track of your favorite dining spots, jot down notes about your most memorable dishes, and join exclusive Member Clubs offered by the restaurants themselves. We have numerous exciting features planned for the future, and we can't wait to share them with you as we grow together.
At the core of our mission is a commitment to easing the burden on our restaurant partners. For far too long, these establishments have been subjected to exorbitant technology costs and misled by profit-driven consultants. We refuse to accept this status quo. Our promise to you, our beloved restaurant partners, is to help you navigate the complexities of the digital landscape while reducing unnecessary expenses. We believe in the power of collaboration, and together, we will forge a path towards sustainable success.
