As we work our way from Pass-a-Grille to St. Pete Beach in our series, it’s a great time to mention the Bayway Country Store and Butcher Shoppe!

Many of you will directly pass this excellent, locally owned/operated, country store on your drive to PAG and St. Pete Beach. It’s just a few miles from the beaches. Whether you’re taking a fishing charter in the area or headed to the beach, this is the place to stop for your supply of freshly made sandwiches, sides, snacks and drinks for the day!

If you ask Bayway Isles residents for a list of reasons they love their area and neighborhood, this country store is most often on their list. C**t says it’s because they have two “cool” (vintage) tractors outside the store and a “huge freezer of ice cream!”. I personally believe it’s because they have an incredible selection of fresh meats & seafood and a deli that stretches the width of the store. You can also tell their fresh veggies section is solid based on C**t’s disgruntled face in that 📸.

The original owner (Barry) purchased the store in 1987 and recently made it second generation, as his son (Ryan) took it over 2 years ago!

While I’m certain this past year wasn’t easy, we wish Ryan the best as the environment continues to improve.
