Cycle Brewing

Cycle Brewing From Craft Brewery to Hobby Project Downtown St. Pete's craft beer brewery and tasting room. Sip on these fine brews inside the bar or on our sidewalk.

Don't forget to fill a growler or Crowler (canned growler) of Cycle beer to take home. Cycle Brewing is cash preferred. Cycle Brewing offers Crowlers, a 32-ounce canned growler available for the same price as a growler fill. On Mondays, Crowlers and Growlers are $2 off. Decide before you buy with free tastes of anything on tap.

Open today, for a while, probably til 5 or maybe later, no plans really but got things to do for a while and I’ll post when I’m headed out, sometime after the Rays game at least

It’s only up from here! Most of the weeds are shorter, not all of them, but that’s all of that for today. Florida summer is not only hot, it comes with the bonus of being the time of year to do the most yard work. Gotta let this negativity out so some positivity can come back in, see ya in a bit!

New bottles, new fill height to get used to seeing, 22’s I am so used to that I don’t need a bottle to help me anymore but this is a new shape, looks like it’s going to fit the same general rule as most which is halfway from where the neck starts to the top of the bottle, it “looks right” on these unlike the SG 22’s which had a fill height almost at the bottom of the neck so that’s another nice win - proper fills look proper.
Expect new artwork, same differentiating labels for now since 60 bottles is just too small of a run to make truly new artwork every time. Pricing is probably going to vary, 25 in the low end, 30 for more expensive adjuncts, with bottle counts dropping to 60 I hate to say I’m fine losing customers on price but it’s less money per case now and only slightly less work and if you’re also feeling like you can’t afford life let alone a little luxury like this, I get that, truly.

“Share the Beer” was part of our original artwork, I think I need to revisit that and encourage that more - it was foundational to our success and I’ve just assumed, wrongly, that it would continue without effort.
I used to think great beer would rise to the top and stand out, what I never considered was the entire market being so saturated with mediocrity that expectations for craft beer drinkers dropped to the point that you didn’t bother looking for or trying something new - and I count myself with the masses on that, my expectations today are so low that I just hope the beer is clean, boring is even good because it sure sucks buying a $10 pour and hating it, a $7 pint of forgettable seems like a good deal. Anybody else feel that way? I wonder if that’s part of why I see craft brewers drinking macros unironically, which I still cringe at.

Summer is here, hoping for one more little break before we truly settle into the relentless day and night swamp heat but we shall see. BA Stouts are still delicious, they might not pair well with outdoor activities this time of year but it’s still a tasty treat!
Closed for the next couple days, like most folks I have a lot of things going on for the 3 day weekend so unless you catch me during the week, see you next Saturday!

Big thanks to everybody for all the offers and options, great to work within this little community to find a solution that makes sense. Labels will be new, and different, and that may cause a slight delay in the new bottles being released - fortunately I’ve got tons of beer for sale so the shelves won’t be empty any time soon.
Also, just missed the 13th birthday of the bottling line! Happy birthday little guy, hopefully you don’t start acting up just because you’re a teenager now.

The balance of bottle size, price of bottle, price to customer and unit sales rate continues…
This officially concludes my vacation job of answering questions - thanks a lot Tara, maybe I’ll go live while bottling or something?

Yes. This is Tara again. This is my ask for Doug to replace AI. Test him out in the comments and ask about literally anything you’ve ever wanted to know.

(he’s gonna kill me)

Maybe it’s the Sunday 2025 talking but I’m re-annoyed with Florida’s rules. Deep breath, focus on what you can do not what sucks

05/16/2026

It’s not a new problem, it’s just a more pressing one trying to get my beer to the people - maybe I am just in the wrong state? I don’t know all the laws in all the states but I do know Florida is trash for breweries’ opportunities
