Very disappointing in Saturdays racing. Patty did not appear very excited about night racing on the dirt! The attendance at the track seamed really low and not very engaged. Someone needs to reroute that traffic off of I 35 through the Retama parking lot!

The newest winner for The Abbie is the rapid two year old F. J. Uncle Vic. He defeated a full field of MSW rivals to cover the 5.5 furlongs in 105 flat. Uncle Abbie and the Rampage Mare-Let Her Reign were an excellent physical match and it is showing some positive results. Congrats to all the connections, but we are especially proud of the fact that Vicky Hammond was the original owner of the mare and is probably pleased as can be with the results.

With a win last night at Retama Park for Amanda Barton and Witt stables, Special Rate gets on the board with his first win of the meet. This winner follows the pattern of Valid Heart, which was a Special Rate stakes placed winner out of a Valid Expectations mare. Love those winners by local broodmare sires!
