Thanks to everyone for their prayers and reaching out. We made it through the storm relatively unscathed.

There’s a few crops we’ll probably be without for a little while, and a lot of the compost we had on beds got washed away. Not great, but it could have been way worse.

Here’s a quick walk around of the farm.

I hate to have to do this, but due to the rain and flooding we will not be at Salem Farmers Market tomorrow. A lot of the farm is under 2-3” of water as of now and what isn’t under water is way too soft to walk on safely with harvest tools.

Stay warm, stay dry, and we’ll see you next week.

After the struggles we’ve had with carrots this year, I am so thankful to have these beauties thriving in the gardens right now.

I freaking love growing carrots. I love digging them up. I love eating them. I love everything about them. So much so that I even have some tattooed on my hands.

So, yeah, I’m a little excited that we’re having some success again.

Artisans: applications for our Christmas Market on December 7th will be available early next week. And don't forget, our final Friday Evening Artisan Market also takes place next week.

“Eat the rainbow. Taste the rainbow.” - chard

Chard is honestly one of my favorite crops to grow. It’s a great producer, loaded with fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It’s also a very low maintenance crop and most importantly: look at that color 👀😍
