🌱 Classic Earl Grey by YBTCO

Authentic warmth. Whole spices, bold tea, no syrup.

🫖 The Real Deal
Cold-pressed oil from Italian Bergamot, blended into an organic black tea base. The Earl Grey people serve when they want the real thing.

🖤Why the Oil Matters
Bergamot grows in commercial volume in one place: the coastal strip of Calabria, at the toe of Italy. The oil gets cold-pressed from the rind, never heated, so the aromatic compounds stay intact. That craft is the reason real Bergamot smells like the actual fruit. Synthetic Bergamot, which most supermarket Earl Greys lean on, smells like a flavoring of itself.

☕️ Make it a London Fog
1 heaping teaspoon to 8 ounces of full-boil water, 5 minutes. Strain. Top with steamed oat or whole milk and a drop of vanilla syrup. The fat in the milk rounds the Bergamot. The vanilla bridges the citrus into something dessert-adjacent.

The first festival was held in 2017. TeaFestPDX is more than a festival, it’s a community. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it’s a collective of tea visionaries, small business owners, and dedicated volunteers who believe in the power of tea to bring people together. Since the very first festival, they’ve been brewing something uniquely Portland: a celebration of tea culture rooted in connection, education, and joy.

The Eugene Tea Festival was a blast! 🫖 ✨

We met so many tea lovers from around the beautiful PNW. Our Lavender London Fog was (again) the fan favorite of the festival. 💜 ☕️

We were so busy that the only photos we captured were before the festival opened… Thanks for keeping us busy, Eugene! It was a festival to remember. I can’t wait for 2027! 🌱

Next up: Tea Fest PDX 2026 on July 27th at the World Forestry Center!

Masala Chai by YBTCO

Authentic warmth. Whole spices, bold tea, no syrup.

🫖 The Real Deal
Put down the sugary concentrate. This is Chai as it was meant to be drunk. We blend robust organic black tea with whole spices, chunks of ginger, cinnamon bark, cardamom pods, and cloves. It is spicy, warming, and deeply aromatic, delivering a flavor depth that a syrup simply cannot match.

🖤 Why It Works
Authentic Chai is about the “Agni” or digestive fire. The warming spices we use are traditionally believed to wake up the metabolism and improve circulation. By using whole spices instead of powders, we preserve the essential oils, ensuring that every cup packs a punch of flavor and function.

How to Make YBTCO Masala Chai ☕️

RECIPE
The traditional “Stovetop” method for brewing authentic Masala Chai. By boiling the tea and milk together, you create a rich, caramelized, and deeply spicy drink that is far superior to coffee shop concentrates.

INGREDIENTS
* 1 tbsp YBTCO Chai Tea (Loose Leaf)
* 1 cup Water
* 1 tbsp Sweetener (Organic Cane Sugar works best)
* ½ cup Milk (Whole Milk or Oat Milk)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. The Base: Boil your 1 cup of water in a small saucepan.
2. The Spice: Add 1 tbsp Chai directly into the boiling water. Let it boil vigorously for 2 minutes. (The water will turn dark red).
3. The Cream: Add 1 tbsp sugar and ½ cup milk to the pot.
4. The Rise: Bring the mixture back to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly so it does not boil over! (Watch the pot closely, milk loves to rise up and spill).
5. The Pour: Turn off the heat. Strain the chai through a fine-mesh sieve into your favorite mug.
6. Enjoy: Drink it hot while it’s frothy.
