for Chemeketa's Wine Studies Program A visit to the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room is really where the magic happens.

The Wine Studies program at Chemeketa Community College has an 8-acre vineyard, and a fully functioning estate teaching winery on premise. Each sip of wine from Chemeketa Cellars, represents the hands-on training that happens here. Students of the Wine Studies program operate the tasting room, offer tours, and share their knowledge about each of the wines currently being poured. It is a wonderful

experience to sit with the winemakers themselves and learn the stories behind their studies and what influences their decision to make wine in Oregon. There is nowhere else in Oregon like the tasting room at the Northwest Wine Studies Center—it's a feast for all of your senses. Are you or someone you know thinking about getting into the wine industry? Do you have an employee that would like further training? Now is a great time to start! Chemeketa's Wine Studies program offers certificates and degrees in Vineyard Management, Winemaking, and Wine Hospitality/Tasting Room Management and you don't have to be pursuing a degree to take class - most classes are available to take without any prerequisites or committee to a degree program. 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀!

The Chemeketa Foundation Scholarship application will be open 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭-𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. One application puts you in consideration for hundreds of scholarships, with awards ranging from $300-$6,000 per year.

Gather at Chemeketa Cellars in West Salem on Monday, August 24, for an evening wine-d down. The tasting room will be open from 5-8 pm, with the class from 6-7 pm. Enjoy a 60 minute practice indoors during the cooler/rainy months or out on the lawn during the summer. Gather after class for post-class sips. Beer, cider, wine, non-alcoholic options and chocolate truffles are available for purchase from 5-8 pm.

• All ages and experience levels are welcome! Our classes are truly all-levels, with options for every body. Come as you are and do what feels good
• Salem-area classes are donation-based: $5–$10 suggested per yogi. Donate when you register, or at class via cash, Venmo (), or PayPal ([email protected]).
• Please support your host by purchasing food, beverages, or other products during your visit (no outside alcohol is allowed.) 🍷🍴
• Bring your own yoga mat or towel
