Fixing incubators is addicting. This is a Lyon Marsh Roll-X I picked up locally. I used to have the Roll-X2 when I was a boy. They used to say these would hatch rocks. The Roll-X2 used to sell for around $650. Now the company is out of business years ago and it is really rare to find these and spare parts on the used marketplace. This one was working at first, the fan was likely gunked but while troubleshooting I shorted two terminals I forgot were touching and may have burnt the thermostat switch box. Luckily, I had a couple spares from the previous GQF cabinet incubator I upgraded. Now this Roll-X runs great again.

Here are some upgrades to an old GQF 1202.

A new 250W heater element with a thermal switch for safety. Also replaced the two wafer thermostats with two digital temperature controllers, for accuracy and safety. I added a switched socket with a fuse for several reasons, safety being one of them. Next, I'll ground to the fan casing, again, for more safety.

I have recently replaced the heating system with new upgraded fan/heaters. The IncuStat temperature control module has new components for reliability and longevity. Everything is in excellent condition. Temperature is calibrated and stable.
