Are you installing your bee packages the easy way or the hard way? The answer might surprise you.

If you're like most beekeepers, you're actually doing the latter but you may not even realize it.

DISCOVER THE EASY-INSTALL METHOD: http://ow.ly/FoDo50DVRLV

This method is one of the best kept "secrets" in the beekeeping industry that made all the difference for us. We found that we were doing our installs the wrong way and we wish we had known this pro tip much sooner.

LEARN HOW TO INSTALL BEE PACKAGES THE EASY WAY: http://ow.ly/vHIE50DVRMd

Now that you know this (much easier) method exists, we hope you'll use it for your installations moving forward.

Today's video gives a much needed reality check/intervention on installing bee packages in your beehive(s). The sad reality is that most beekeepers are installing their honey bees the WRONG way and you might be doing the same thing.

LEARN HOW TO INSTALL YOUR BEES THE EASY WAY: http://ow.ly/ITVT50DS4vk

Traditionally, beekeepers have used what we call the Shake & Bang Method to install their bees. This method is exactly what it sounds like: you shake the living daylights out of the bee cage to get the bees out of the (relatively) small hole in the top of the cage. We absolutely HATE this method because it is 100% unnecessary. It agitates your bees and dramatically increases the chances that you'll squish your queen.

There's a much better way to do your bee package installation. It only takes about 3 minutes and it's much more gentle on your bees so you don't have a cloud of angry bees attacking you while you're installing them. We've created an instructional video that will help you learn how to do this in just a few minutes.

DISCOVER THE MUCH EASIER METHOD: http://ow.ly/9SyV50DS4uN

Now that you know there is a much better way to handle your installations, please don't EVER use the Shake & Bang Method again. In addition, please pass this onto other beekeepers who are still doing this the wrong way and help them see the light.

But that's not all, we're also exposing part of our roadmap to improve our support infrastructure. Since the inception of Bear Country Bees, we've been known for providing incredible support to our customers. It's one of the things that has set us apart from other beekeeping companies.

In the past few years, we've noticed an exponential rise in support requests and despite the tireless efforts of our support team, we've simply just struggled to keep up. We are very aware of this and are doing a lot of behind the scenes work to address this situation.

Today's announcement features four specific things we're working on to improve your experience working with our support team:

1. Building more robust systems and leveraging software efficiencies to better handle our current level of support requests
2. Exploring solutions for better combatting fake (spam) communications so that we can preserve our support requests for genuine requests like yours
3. Laying the foundation for a future Knowledge Base to provide a fast-access self-service support option + allow our team to respond to requests at scale
4. Adding additional personnel to our support team to alleviate the current load our team is under and speed up response times

We're really excited about everything we have in today's update and hope it brings a noticeable improvement to your experience.

As always, we're open to any feedback items you have for us so take that handy new contact for a spin and let us know!

In the last year, we've made some major improvements to our website starting with our homepage and our Adopt-A-Hive page. These improvements have been very well received by our customers.

Since that time, we've been hard at work overhauling many of the other systems our website uses and redesigning the pages that go with them.

Today, we're announcing another series of changes to our 2 most popular programs: Store and Blog. Both of these programs are getting a number of stability enhancements, additional functionality, and a GORGEOUS new design.
