James Suckling awards its FIRST Oregon 100-point Pinot Noir!
Rose & Arrows Estate’s Touchstone 2023 Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir receives a perfect 100-Point score, marking the second 100-point wine from the AVA in the past year.
In its review,JamesSuckling’s staff writer and taster, Courtney Humiston, praised the wine’s “power and structure,” noting its “deeply mineral” character layered with “fresh yet ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and spice,” calling the wine “built to age forever but compelling and delicious right now.”
“Fifteen years ago, we started a dream with Mark Tarlov, and today we are seeing the results of commitment and hard work to make unique Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.”—Felipe Ramirez, Rose & Arrow winemaker
Touchstone 2023 comes from a vineyard site defined by vesicular basalt soils, a hallmark of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA’s volcanic identity. The recognition further cements Eola-Amity Hills’ reputation as one of the world’s premier wine growing regions and highlights the AVA’s continued momentum two decades after its establishment in 2006.
