The 4 girls from my original flock are pretty well integrated into the younger birds. Our two newest adoptions are still keeping to themselves for now but they’re making good progress.

The younger flock members are 16 weeks old today. I’m hoping to see lots of eggs soon. They’re staying in the run since it’s a rainy day.

I’ve finally gotten around to adding bands to the Rhode Island Reds, and Golden Comets, since it’s hard to distinguish between them. Now we’re going to finally start naming them.

Latest idea to help Hagrid a chicken wheelchair he’s been sick and very weak for two weeks. He first had a chicken specific parasite and it got to the point where he didn’t move eat or drink after some good medicine from the vet. The parasites are gone, but we think he has a severe B12 deficiency Because he can’t hold himself up. We gave him some poultry B12 and put him in a chicken wheelchair yesterday to help him get better circulation in his legs, hopefully this works!

Hagrid is still not doing well. I tried to brighten his mood by putting him out with his flock.

I let our Roosters out with the new flock, supervised just to see. They behaved for the most part.
