I posted this picture the other day.
This is Clarabelle. 🐄
She is a registered, Brow Swiss cow.
She is 4 years old and produces A2A2 milk.
She is probably around 5 foot tall and weighs at least 1300 pounds.
When she had her calf this last July, clarabelle was producing close to 6 gallons of milk each DAY 🤯 She's a big cow who produces a lot of milk!
How much dairy feed do you think Belle consumes daily?
Dairy feed is only given while the cows are actively getting milked in the milk stall.
Clarabelle here is in the milk stall each day for 12-15 minutes.
Let's take some guesses in the comments on the amount of feed she consumes...
What do you think? 1-2 pounds, 10 pounds, 30 pounds, 50 pounds, etc...lets hear it!!!
I'll post the actual amount she usually consumes later 🙂
